Your Responsibilities

• Lead backend development using Laravel and related technologies
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs to power our frontend and third-party integrations
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Manage and scale relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Work closely with frontend developers, product designers, and AI engineers
• Implement test coverage and CI/CD best practices
• Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to key product decisions

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of professional experience in Laravel/PHP backend development
• Strong experience with REST APIs, database design, and ORMs (e.g., Eloquent)
• Solid understanding of MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized environments, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP preferred)
• Experience working with queue systems (e.g., Laravel Horizon, Redis)
• Good understanding of application security, performance tuning, and caching
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, scalable code

Nice to Have

• Experience with Laravel Octane or high-performance Laravel setups
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Familiarity with AI or media processing APIs
• Understanding of GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to frontend technologies (Vue.js/React) is a plus
